is it stock? that's not normal based on my experience. and by "16-17 on trip" do you mean highway driving, or on the trip computer/information display? (which, btw, should be reset with each fillup to accurately calculate MPG.)

Not uncommon depending on where you live and driving habits. I get around 14-16 mpg average driving all city in Honolulu, HI. Lots of short distances between lights and always sitting and idling. On the few occasions I get to drive 50+ mph, I notice mileage jumping up considerably. This is based on actual mileage calculated at the pump, not the vehicle's computer.
My girlfriend's Infiniti M37 gets about 13 mpg, with the same city driving habits and more air conditioning. Lol.

Check your tire pressure, don't idle, drive the speed limit, and watch ahead for things that will make you stop. Doing those things will greatly improve your mileage. Driving like a maniac, speeding, using the gas and brake like an on/off switch will result in poor mileage.
I, thought LE only comes in full time 4 Wheel drive!!!?

Nope, but it sounds like most people on the mainland seem buy the 4wd version while here in Hawaii, at least on Oahu, most buy the 2wd if it's the LE. If I were living on the mainland, I would buy the 4wd LE.

averaged from 21 MPG when new, during october.
Now down to 16 MPG. That's with going between 60 and 65MPH on the highway. I'm doing more warm-ups going to the gym after the job, and colder temperature does not help.
Small trips and winter time just kills mileage.

i've gotten a max of 24mpg on flat roads going to the beach but usually 22mpg on highways.. but heading into the mountains i got about 17.. with that being said.. PA can be hilly depending where you live..

My TE is modified with a 3" lift and 285 mud terrains. I have a very short commute of 2.5 miles, so my typical city cycle returns about 14 mpg. Living in Texas, most of the highways are 75 mph speed limits and the faster I go, the mileage seems to drop exponentially. No that this setup compares to yours, but the best mileage I have been able to get in 12K miles of ownership is 18 mpg.
Drag increases by the square of velocity. You make 2500x drag at 50mph. You make 3600x drag at 60mph. You make 4900x drag at 70mph. You make 6400x drag at 80mph. Basically your drag at 80mph is near double the drag at 60mph! That has a huge impact on your highway mileage because aero drag accounts for the lion's share of your system drag at highway speeds.

I have a 12 LE and I drive 16 miles to work each way with about 3 miles of that surface streets once I get off the freeway. I use the "ECO" light and the bar thing as a kind of a game, plus I drive like an old lady as the drivers in Las Vegas Suck Nuts, (I even quit riding my motorcycle on the streets because of how bad people are out her.....but that's another story)
Anyway on the 5 days I drive to work, I average 21.3 - 22.1 MPG at a cruise control set at 65 MPH, it's only on my two days off that my MPG drops down as I am driving on the surface streets, considering how aerodynamic the Runner is not, I think it gets good gas mileage, better than my GMC Sierra anyway.

Just traded my 07 for a 13. On the 07 there was a tank mileage and an average. I never reset the average but would always reset the tank MPG. I do not see where the 13 has this feature, it only shows the average. My average on the 07 was less than the tank due to being what it says average fuel economy for the vehicle. Is there a way to see both the average for the vehicle as well as per tank on the 13 like the 07?

I agree. Not speeding and also being mindful of you surrounding like you mention. If you are at a series of red lights, no reason to race to the next one just so you can sit and wait.
Driving a mix of city and highway I averaged 19.7 last tank of gas. I only go 65 on highway though. 2011 LE 4wd. I am very impressed with the gas mileage based on size of vehicle.
