2011 Floor Liners - New Discussion Husky vs. WeatherTech

Does that cargo liner slide around at all? I bought the Toyota liner and it always slides back after driving around. I was thinking of velcro or something to keep it from sliding around. It's not a huge issue I just push it forward after opening he back. Just curious if the aftermarket liners have the same issue.

The liner has not moved at all for us. We have had the trunk loaded with plants, bags of dirt and it has never budged on us. I highly recommend the Husky liners not only for the cargo area but also for the rear seats and from seats.

Looking at your picture of the Husky Cargo Liner vs my picture of the WeatherTech Cargo Liner I would have to say that the Husky one looks like it fits better.

The only reason that I decided to go with Husky over Weather Tech is because I thought I would need the cargo hook cutouts for our cargo net to prevent stuff from sliding around however when I received the Husky cargo liner the holes were not cut out all though you could cut the holes out if you chose to. We decided to try with out the cargo net and nothing slides around on the cargo mat so we are going to let it be as is. The fit is awesome for the cargo liner as well as the floor mats. I am very happy with their product. I wish I had ordered the floor mats for my WRX!

So after using the Husky floor liners I fell in love with them because they fit so good and blends in well with my SR5, I decided to go ahead and order the cargo liner.

I have 3rd row seating. I was excited about getting them but once I got them in my runner it just did not look right.

1. That lip is huge, who designed that? Because of the huge lip it just looks unrefined.
2. It looks like it is a little too long.
3. The sides do not fit flush. If I push in the right side snug the left has about a 1/4 in gap.

It just does not fit the way the floor liners fit.
I know there were some complaints I read about the cargo liner.



What should I do?

I am having the same issues. Anyone come up with a good idea?

You have to remember what these are designed for...To keep water, debris, trash, mud, etc... ON the mat, without flowing over on to the carpet it is designed to protect...Hence the "big lips".

I have the WeatherTech, and the fit/finish is well executed. No gaps, no sliding, works and looks good.

Yes you are right. The idea is to keep water dirt on the mat and not the carpet but the Husky cargo has cut out for the hooks, that defeat the purpose, i think.

Mine were sliding also, but only when I moved the front seats back and forth. Turns out, I forgot to remove the OEM carpet Matt's, which raised the plastic Husky's high enough to catch the edge of the seat track when it moved back and forth. Could this be a solution to your problem?

Purchased and installed the Weathertech floor mats last Friday, they are awesome.

I have had the Weathertech liners in my last few vehicles, as well as my 2010 SR5. I notice a lot more movement on the t4r than any other vehicles I have had them in. I have to move the passenger side back in place any time someone sits over there. Either way, Weathertech liners have never let me down. My daughter poured a full cup of milk in the back of my 2010 RAV4 Limited a week after I purchased it, and I didn't see it until the next morning. A few minutes with the shopvac later and it was gone. The liner held the whole thing, nothing touched the carpet.

I love the WeatherTech Liners in my 2011 SR5. I found that the front and rear liners fit perfectly. The cargo liner fits ok however I do find that it slides around.

Any experience with using double sided tape or anything to secure the cargo liner? I find mine is moving around a lot.

I just got my Huskys today and since I got the carpeted mats with my truck, I tried placing these right on top. They seem to fit just fine that way. Thus far, they look great and the fit is excellent. I had Huskys in my Tacoma for 6 years of ownership--this entailed regular sloshing of mud from fishing as well as two messy kids that spilled all manner of things on them. When it was time to sell the Tacoma, the carpet under the mats was pristine:thumb3:.
