2011 Limited 3rd Row With Weatherbeaters in Black
I recently purchased a 2011 and did extensive research using this forum and other online resources regarding the WT vs. Husky debate. After all my research I couldn't help myself from posting IMO information as well. I ended up going with the Husky Weatherbeaters and I'm very pleased with the product I chose. The only thing negative I can say is I really didn't care for the fit of the Husky cargo mat, but it serves its purpose. Both products had their pros and cons, but it basically comes down to personal opinion and how you weigh things out. For me, it came down to the length of the Husky's which gave added protection that actually covers the dead pedal. Husky's also go farther underneath the driver's and passenger's seat from the second row as well. Price factored in some with WT being about $50 to $100 more. I purchased complete set of Husky's to include cargo mat from Auto Anything for $188, which included free shipping and the use of a 10% online coupon. I tried the 10% with the WT's and Auto Anything advised they couldn't do it. As far as appearance, some posts in favor of WT's indicate their appearance is more aesthetically pleasing; however, I believe the Husky's have closed the gap with the weatherbeater line. I agree the old style Husky's could not compete with the fit and finish of the WT's. I've seen the WT after a year of use and they tend to look scratched up, especially in darker colors. I do not know about the Husky's appearance after a year of use. Husky's also came with lifetime warranty. I did like the fact the WT's come molded to fit the factory mat floorboard retainers, but some complain it allows water to get underneath the mat. With the Husky's you have to remove the retainer, which I did not have to do because I told dealership in advance; however, others say it is a simple procedure. Both companies use some type of computer program which digitally reads the contour of floorboards which results in near perfect fits. I did end up using nail clippers to remove the carpet retention points where the Husky's lay over the door seal which gave them a better fit. (Thanks to the person who posted that!) The WT's have a smooth bottom and some complain this allows them to slide more than the Husky's. In conclusion, both mats are excellent choices for aftermarket protection and you'll just have to weigh things out to see which one serves your situation best. Good Luck!
