Ok, you nailed it there. Pun intended. I think all of us have been intrigued with the jeep and the hot girl. They both look good on paper. It isn't until you have driven a few that you know they are both fun for awhile until they F you over.

Had two Jeeps and am now on my second Toyota 4runner LE. Toyotas aren't maybe quite the princess. But definitely what will make you happier in the long run. My first 4runner even gave itself for my protection in a wreck or I would still be driving that one. JGC are pretty tho...

Back from the dead, but still topical. I thought long and hard about a JGC this year, but decided to buy my second 5th Gen instead. The resale is astonishingly divergent between the two. And I own an LJ and have had 2 TJs. Now my LJ is holding crazy value as well, as do TJs.

if you only plan to lease or sell after 3 years, jeep is ok, but if you want to keep your vehicle longer then 4runner is the only way.

as for oil supplies, don't worry, the United States is now the largest oil and gas producer in the whole world overtaking saudi arabia - http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/10/15/us-oil-pira-idUSL1N0I51IX20131015 Pretty soon, we're gonna be driving gold-plated 4runners with diamond emblems :becky:. just google it. This is one reason i bought the 4runner whereas a few years ago i was contemplating hybrids, but with the gigantic oil and gas bonanza in the United States, no more worries. U.S.A. number one !!! We are the champions !
