OK guys one of my dash speakers and one of my tailgate speakers are blown, the dash is just noisy on certain songs but the tailgate one you can hear even during talk radio.... so heres what im thinking...
I have a set of stock dash speaker grilles - I'm considering just cutting them up and mounting a 1in tweeter in them that would stick up a bit but If I can get them clean looking I wouldn't care about that - the rears i want to replace but not sure if I want to go with a 2-3way speaker or a Comp set. I already have Infinity Kappas in all stock speaker locations but of course both the dash and rear tailgate sizes are no longer available, BUT I don't want to just put something in there that's going to blow again anyway. I still have the stock head-unit for now but will be upgrading so they will see more power at some point. I know the stock system has odd ohm's so i need to consider that as well. Where are my bassheads and SQ guys at....what did you guys do?
