The one major feature that I may never be able to live without is the smart key. That was never even in my thoughts until I got it. I've been in rentals and customer cars and can't tell you how much I missed it. It's really convenient to never have to touch a key, EVER.
But, if you never have it, you won't miss it.
So that's a total of a +11 points for the TE, +8 of which relate to offroad-ability. My question would be, what is your planned % of time spent offroad? If it's not significant, then the +8 total for the TE is skewed, and practically speaking, the Limited may be a fine choice too. Bottom line, it's hard for me to think that the TE is +8 points more capable offroad than the Limited.
I think I echoed some of the other comments already made. If you're able to tell us your intended use breakdown, we'll be better able to provide some thoughts/opinions. Either way I don't think you're going to be unhappy. Good luck!
Do you think they can upgrade the trails stereo to be the JBL in the limited?
