2013 Fender Flares

What are my options if I would like to install Fender Flares? Bushwacker doesn't seem to make them and I'm not having much luck on Google. Isn't there a Rock Wall or Rock Warrior edition that has a minor fender flare? I wouldn't mind those...

Maybe the black textured plastic Trail edition ones? Or there's also the trail edition ones, and have I mentioned the trail edition ones? :)

Welcome to the world of the 5th gen 4Runner, lol. You will find that we are not completely embraced by the aftermarket yet - it is getting better as time goes on though.

Thanks guys! These both sound like good options, just curious why the after-market world isn't completely on board with the 5gens yet...

It seems there are a couple things about the 4Runner's design that make large flares difficult. I'm still waiting to see if Bushwhacker comes up with anything.

Most of the vehicles that have aftermarket flares don't have a removable flare section from the factory, and if they do the flare normally only covers the top half of the wheel well.

The 4Runner's flare extends down to the rocker panel, and is also incorporated in the front and rear bumper which I'm sure becomes a nightmare when trying to design and aftermarket extended flare.

Like others have said best bet if probably Trail conversion.

Likely a multitude of reasons - there aren't a ton of people wheeling the 5th gens yet; not including the TE, they aren't really marketed as a turnkey offroad vehicle like the FJ or a Jeep would be, and they also aren't old enough yet for the average person to start doing builds and thrashing them around the bush.

There are quite a few products available though, with more becoming available all the time. A good place for you to start would be to spend a few hours perusing some of the build threads to see what some of us have been doing.

And as eddiebx said, think outside of the box!
