2013 Limited Tires & Wheels need to change ASAP

Picking up a new 2013 4Runner Limited next week, and being a long time 4Runner owner, I can't stand the new 20" rims and skinny tires. Who at Toyota thought this was a good look for a 4Runner??? To each his own I guess.

I was going to swap them with a black 17" rim and 265/70R/17's, similar to the size I had on my 04' 4Runner, but was wondering what others have done.

I don't want to do any mods to the 4Runner, just change out the wheels and tires. Would like to do 18's, but want to maintain the same stock tire/wheel diameter.

Any replies to this post are much appreciated. Pics of what others have done would be bonus. I have looked at several posts already on this subject, but wanted to see if anyone has done this recently to a 2013.

*** Also, how much are my stock rims and tires worth?

2010-2013 4Runners are the same in regards to wheels and tires. Older posts are still relevant. Stock rims and tires are worth what the buyer will pay. Go to the "for sale" sticky as there have been many for sale there.
 
Should have no problem selling the Limited wheels/tires. The classified section has plenty of listings. They seem to go relatively quick. I would be interested if you weren't so far away....ha. Been looking for someone in the Illinois/Wisconsin area that has a set of Limited wheels/tires to replace my SR5's.

I think 265 is the widest I can go without any wheel well mods. It's my understanding that 275 and above will rub when making tight turns, etc.

I've got 275/65/18s, no rub, no mod. Width is 9". Think 275 is max, 285s are going to require some mods.
 
You could go larger than 265. 275 would be fine. I went 265 and here is what my '13 LE looks like dropping to 265/70/17 (it is leveled with 5100s). Next time I might go 275 even though I do like the 265s at this height.

That looks awesome. It's also the exact color of the 4Runner I ordered.

What make/model are the Rims & Tires?

Thanks for the info. I'm going to look for this size.

One other thing.. is it important to worry about the rim offset? I assume if I order these rims, the wheel shop will be able to determine the correct offset for the vehicle.

American Tire ordered the correct offset and after realignment with the 5100s I had it perfect (as close to it as I think possible). With that, I assume what they told me was a matching offset to the OEM was true.

I have seen other threads on here where the Tire Shop thought wheels/tires would fir and they didnt.

Just do your own research before you have to deal with the headache. It's worth the 15 minutes. Most wheel manufactures will list the offset of the wheel.
 
Just curious, does anyone know the width of the 20" stock rims? Not sure if they are 8, 8.5 or 9's.

I see you are running 275/65/18. Is that with stock suspension? That's what I am going to go with on mine in the Spring.

The SR5 and Limited 4x4's are both rated at 17/22 mpg to my knowledge, so I doubt it was for gas consumption. Go figure.

But limited is full time 4wd, so the thought is the skinny tire offsets 4wd efficiency penalty. There was some evidence recently the the stock 20s are actually 7.5. I kept the stock 20s and put on wider tire. Certainly looks better.

I realize this is an old thread but as I searched for info, regarding the used 2013 limited Ijust bought, this thread kept popping up.... I hate these types of forums. They always cost me money. I am going to put Toyo MT 275/55's on next week providing they actually fit. If anyone else has tried and failed please let me know.
