2013 TE lift question

OK,ok....before someone gets upset with me i just spent 2 hours using the search bar and reading every possible thing i could about leveling out the front of my '13 TE w/kdss and not coming up with the answers im looking for...so im looking for just a little more help please. Basically all i want to do is level out the front of my truck for the most part. I like a little rake but the 2" i have now is just way too much. My questions are these, first if i go with a Toytec 2" spacer will that make the truck completley level? I ask this because i keep reading that a 2" spacer is actually double...this i dont understand at all. I was also looking at the top spacer kit which Toytec claims to give app. 3/4" lift...does that mean its actually 1 1/2"? cuz i think 1 1/2 would be perfect to leave a little rake in her. Last question is this...if i were to go with the 2" spacer and the truck was totally level, if i go on a trip with a couple people in the back seat and some luggage, wont the back end be dragging then? Yes, the search function is less than optimal.

If you go with adjustable coilovers in the front, you can set them to the height you like.

Yes, it will sag if you load it up. How much is something you can test. If you're going load it up frequently, you might consider stiffer rear springs.

I always like a little bit of rake (about 1") to compensate for weight in the rear. I hate the ass sag.

As mentioned above, adjustable CO's are great if you have the money. They can be set from 0" of lift up to 3"-ish. They are expensive but you pay for what you get.

Spacers are typically advertised by giving the amount of lift they provide. The way it works out, the lift created is typically double the thickness of the spacer installed. So, if you get a Toytec 2" spacer, it will provide about 2" of lift and will, in turn, be about 1" thick.

Not sure about 5th Gens, but I know a lot of the FJ guys are running OME 883 coils on their stock struts to provide about 1" of lift. This levels things out pretty good.

I considered coil overs but don't wanna spend the $800 or so to do that. I like the spacers because they are inexpensive and will give me the look i want. Im just not really sure if i should get the 2" or the other ones that provide app. 3/4" lift. I would definitely like to keep a little rake. I just cant stand the look of it stock

Looks like Toytec has some height adjustable shocks for less...

I appreciate the feedback. After considering everything i couldnt agree with you more. Ive decided to spend the extra cash and get the toytec coil overs with the bilstein 5100 shocks. You are totally right, you get what you pay for. Im sure they will make the truck handle better as well so other than a little more money its a no lose situation

Keep in mind those coilovers cant be adjusted while on the truck. You have to remove them to adjust.

Really? That sucks! I didnt see on Toytecs site where it said that. That kinda changes my thought process being if i dont like the height you have to do a complete uninstall and reinstall. Any suggestions on co's that can be adjusted while on vehicle?

What are your thoughts on the Bilstein height adjustable shocks? Maybe thats a good way to accomplish what im looking for?
