2014 4runner HID conversion

Has anyone tried changing their low beams to HIDs? Would it be better to get 3000k HIDs for the fogs or yellow halogen bulbs? Would the low beams require a retrofit or would a plug and play work? Please post pics.

I started a thread on the 2014 headlight bulbs. Search my posts and take a look.

You will quickly find that some folks around here will get very cranky if you ask a question on a topic that has already been discussed. The search feature will become your friend

If you want to properly do HIDs it will require a retro fit. Halogen projectors are slightly different then HID projectors.

Granted you could just swap in some bulbs and ballast in but out put won't be as good and you will get some unfocused light because of the bowl focal point.

For fogs you could just get yellow bulbs. It would be a lot cheaper. If you want HID in the fogs please do a projector retro fit so you don't blind everyone.

For low bean temp stay between 4300k to 5000k or you start losing output.
