2014 4Runner Limited Stereo Problem

Just picked up a 2014 Limited with the JBL stereo. Question is that when playing the stereo the front speakers in the doors only play really deep bass notes. No upper ranger can be heard out of them Door speakers in the back seem normal and the speakers in the dash seem to play normal. The result is not really much deep or full overall sound.

Question is this how the speakers in the front doors are suppose to be or do I have a problem with the amp or crossover? Can someone confirm on theirs?

I have a 2010 TE with JBL premium. That's how it's designed. Low pass to front doors with the highs going to the dash. Good idea but not well executed.

I haven't put my ear to the door speakers, but I am blown away by how good and how full the system is. Even compared to the Audi's $6,000 Bang & Olufsen, it's no contest. Don't forget to adjust balance, bass, midrange, treble for EACH of the sources, as it allows for source settings.
