2014 4Runner made top ten!

I agree. Take the new Jeep Cherokee for example.

No, YOU take the new Cherokee! Please! LOL!

And yet, as you point out, they still sell like hotcakes! They might sell fewer if some of those people would spend a little time checking out the Yeep Forum to see the problems people are having with them.

I love my 14 Trail Premium with KDSS, I traded in an 11 SR5 loaded. I think the look is much better. It's other for everyone though.

I have an 07 Tundra and don't like the new body style, but a ton do.

I think it is kind of like the Kia Soul which ranked even worse. My sister is on her second one because she loves the practicality of the little hauler as much as it's looks. Actual owners seem to be very loyal to that little guy.

And I noticed the Nissan Cube isn't even on that list. Nissan announced sales are so low on those they are going away in North America after this model year.

Pretty funny article and responses in this thread. Looks are definitely subjective as folks can find beauty in almost anything. Case in point; my wife still married me despite my looks...lol.

I initially thought the new gen 4Runner was bordering on ugly too but in my mind's eye I saw the finished product and thought it looked pretty good...lol. Others love the look right from the factory and abhor any modifications that change the factory look.

I am just really glad my wife was more of the former and thought I cleaned up well. :)

I really didn't think this would go beyond one page, lol...

To be completely honest I have the love/hate going with my SR5... the TE was the best looking 5th, from some angles I love mine, from some I don't...

The gen 5.5 switched things giving the most improvement to the SR5, whereas the TE looks less special than it did. The only thing that bugs me is the front bumper sticks out on the 5.5 making the truck look abnormally long from some angles.

We initially thought it was kinda ugly too, and started out looking for a leftover 2013 with what we wanted on it. None were within a reasonable distance, and as we were looking the 2014 started growing on me. I don't mind the grill or the headlights, but the "teardrops" around the fog lights are what I didn't like. Still wouldn't like it if we had a lighter color where they become more pronounced, but they blend OK with the magnetic gray and don't seem to draw too much attention.

Now that we've had it for 5 months, we absolutely love it. Ugly or not, she's family now! :)

Calling me Ugly?.........Do I look like I care?

No, not really. The pre-facelift 5th gens were ugly too. LOL

Seriously though, styling is subjective. Some people like the 5th gen 4Runner. Some people like the Pontiac Aztek too. Or the old AMC Pacer. The list goes on and on....there have always been ugly vehicles and there will always be people who think they look just fine. Personally, I have high hopes for the 6th gen because I think Toyota really dropped the ball with the 5th gen styling. Others may or may not agree.

The 5th generation was already done before Akio took office. I think the 6th Gen is going to be much nicer as Toyota has really stepped up their game in regard to interior style and exterior style. I love the looks of the new camry. Akio is really pushing new styles.
