I like the new look. Some how Toyotas pictures make it look terrible but these it actually looks pretty good. Now just to see one in person for the final judgement.
While the TE is all over the place, I think that's the only picture *anywhere* of the '14 Limited.
Can't wait to see it in person. For some reason, the 5th Gen (even before the refresh) isn't very photogenic at certain angles. Can't imagine how terrible chrome-plated plastic will look after a few years of rock chips (at least with a painted bumper, there's always touch-up paint). Also trying to picture where the license plate will go (maybe they'll provide a bracket).
You can see the front parking sensors and the black-painted rims, exactly as the Toyota press release mentions.

As a 12' LTD owner I quite like the new one, I am not too keen on the white albeit I am glad they are more options in color, I'd love to see a Shoreline Blue 14 or a Mag Gray one, AND I like the look of the interior in the 14.
Of course I'd like to see it in the flesh so to say, but that trail in Red does looks sexy, yes it does look like a Mitsubishi but damn that red is nice.

I've noticed this as well. Especially from directly behind the vehicle.

Good point. I'd submit to anyone buying a 5.5Gen that they make sure the dealer does not drill holes in the front bumper. That is really stupid.

toyota now makes me think of chevrolet, where more plastic chrome is always better.

Thanks for the posting up the pics.
The white looks a good bit better than the "gills" on the red TE, but i think we still have to see if it takes better when paired with other colors. Body colored fascia would be interesting to see as well, but the chrome might be the only option for the masses.

I just purchased my 13' a week ago, and must say I'm VERY happy I didn't wait for the 14'. I'm not saying that to justify my purchase, bit simply am not a fan of the 14' models and am just not feeling the front end at all...maybe I will change my mind in person, but as of now, I'm not impressed at all.

Wasn't there speculation that all trim levels were getting the hood scoop? I was really hoping against hope that the red one we've been seeing was a bastardized SR5/Trail combo and the final Trail version would have no running boards and return the Black fender trim, roof rack, mirrors, door handles, bumper insert, etc...

The white limited front end is a real eye soar. Ugly! It reminds me of a mid 2000 Chevy Trailblazer. The shadows on the Trail front end make it ugly also.
My first impression of the current 5th gen 4R TE was that I loved how the front end looked. Looking at these pics of the 14, I can't say I'm fond of either.
I still don't understand why white was never an option for the TE. Maybe they want people spending more for the Limited if they want white? Doesn't make much sense...

And certain front angles too. I still remember seeing the first "spy shot" of a white Limited and thinking it looked like an old Scion xB.
The new front seems to have a lot of "depth" to it, which cant be done justice with a 2D photo. Right now I'm seeing "Angry Transformer" in the TE and "Angry Teenage Transformer with Braces" for the Limited...

Man I should do a search on the 4th gen thread with the title "New 5th Gen Spotted"and read those replies too.....I'm sure Toyota spends BILLIONS of yen on future projects, trends, wants and needs so let's not be too hypocritical about the new looks........but that being said keep them coming..
