2014 4Runner

Thanks Guys

After ten years of 4 Runner ownership and very little maintenance on my reliable 2001 SR5, I decided to get a trail thanks to all the help received on this forum. Instead of trading in my reliable truck with 150,000 miles on it, I dumped my mercedes convertible because it was a money pit. Really happy with both trucks, never realized how much bigger the 5th Gen is compared to my 3rd gen. Excited to get this on the beach and do some surf/camping trips. You guys were a real help with all the suggestions and Im stoked to have gotten exactly what I needed without any excess. Thanks all.

Sounds like my story! Though my 3rd gen is a 1998 with 265,000 miles.

notice how the old 4runners wheel arch moulding flows into the running boards. too bad they didn't keep that in the newer gens.

That's awesome man!!! I hope to have a similar story when our '10 LE reaches 150. Def won't trade it in, riding it to the bone.

Summary :

looks like 2014 inventory has settled down across the country at around 3800-3900 units across the board.
i have not seen any big swings in model/colors like in the first 1/2 of december. big demand colors (white, black, silver)
still jump around 20-30 units +/- but thats normal.

2013 :

Inventory dropped ~240 units since last update. getting close to the magical 1k barrier.

again until the next update.

First post. Just picked up a 14 Blizzard Pearl Limited 4wd with 3rd row for my wife this weekend. We both really, really like it. First pic is at the dealer right before I drove away and the others are at home with her brothers.

are those OEM running boards? are they listed on your window sticker? if so could you take a pic of the option code for them?

thanks.

Yes, they're OEM. Sorry don't have a pic right now but it's listed as "R1 Aluminum running boards $649.00". I really prefer the overall look with them on. Obviously they wouldn't be good for off road action but I have other Toyota's for that. This vehicle will probably only see light to moderate snowy conditions and no trail use. Hope that helps.

thanks a bunch. I couldn't find a third option code for those, all I could find was the R6 and KH option code. I prefer the look of the R1's compared to my R6.

now to see if I can get the R1's from my parts manager at a discount or go another route.

New shoes!

Just got my 4Runner a couple of weeks ago. Totally love it!! Swapped out the stock tires with some Nokian Rotiivas. So far, they're a big improvement to an already superb truck!

Awesome Blizzard Pearl LE! Wanted white badly and almost pulled the trigger on one without the auto running boards that was on its way to the dealership. Was sold on the clean look when test driving a 2013 LE with the auto boards. Unfortunately, when the 2014s were released in SoCal, the auto boards were not even available for the dealers to order for their initial stock. Couldn't even build one online with them as an option. Ended up A-trading a 2014 Mag Grey LE with the auto boards from the dealer's sister dealership in Arizona before it was built. Beats waiting months for a custom order and needed to get this purchase in for 2013. Love the mag grey now especially with the redwood interior.

Seeing yours makes me want blizzard pearl again!

It took two months to be built and shipped from Japan, but my new baby arrived yesterday! Mag gray, auto running boards, no third row or sliding tray. Taking her into my detailer on Friday for a full front end clear bra, opti-coat pro, opti-glass, and tint. Got her with 1 mile on the odometer.
Coming from a 2011 Limited, I will echo what most have said about the interior- it's a major improvement. The leather is much nicer, doors close with a nice thud, and the gauges and instrument panel is beautiful. Could not be happier with this upgrade.
My tapatalk app isn't letting me add pics, will add when I'm at a computer.

My new 2014

Here's a picture of my '14 Limited Magnetic Gray at the dealership then out in Dallas. Loving it so far, the '14 Entune system is great and the JBL sound quality is very good. I was going to put my 12'' Alpine Type R in this thing, but the JBL 15 speaker package with the sub and amp included gives me all the bass I'd want.

Glad to finally join this forum instead of dropping in as an outsider!

Picked up my 2014 SR5 premium 4x4 in super white last night for a price I believe was below invoice!

Now to figure out how to best get rid of the front license plate holder in a way that looks good :)

If you're in the Denver area, there are several of them for sale.

I just bought one on Saturday. The only one I could find in the North Texas area. Several dealers stated they are getting 1 or 2 after Jan 19th. I am loving it so far. 2014 Trail Edition Premium, Super White.
