2014 Fog Light Bulbs

I know the bulb it takes is an H16...can't find much available in an H16 that isn't a small fortune. just wondering anyone has tried these:

I've tried a bunch-a-stuff last year to find the right bulb replacement upgrade for my "PIAA 520" kit and stock low-beam headlights, and learned that just because the box says "Brightest, Whitest L.E.D's Everrrrrrr", doesn't make it true moping. The low beams I'm running now are from "PIAA" called: 'Night Tech' https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00544ZE58/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 My (aftermarket) foglight bulbs are: PIAA 'Xtreme White' 55=110 Watt Bulb https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00067BVCS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 They are FAR BRIGHTER than the H11 O.E.M. equipment used in the low beam application, AND the H3 PIAA 520 foglight kit!

I really don't mind spending $50 bucks (per pair) for a legitimate lighting upgrade because I see this as an investment into my 'MAIN' hobby/pass-time, and a way to make it safer to drive!

Or you can just run modified H11 halogens and get superior performance to just about any of the LEDS out there

Hi Marcocopuffs, <<<(PS: I've never called anyone that before... "somewhat awkward")... :yo:

These are what I'm running in the "Low-beam" bezels at this time. They seem to be way brighter than the stock bulbs (imho/ but I have no proof). ALL aftermarket bulb manufacturers make claims to be no less than 'KING-OF-THE-ROAD' where dark streets and 'Noble gas' lighting meet, so you'll need to test them for yourself! But I'm pretty satisfied w/ these! Price is around $50/pair, S&H is free if you shop around, and deliveries are fast! "See below":

your 2010 should already be running h11s in the foglights, but for the 2014+ you just trim the large tab on the H11 bulb with tin snips to fit in the H16 socket

Frankly I trust a company reporting their lumens as much as I trust politicians. The Led will last the life of the truck compared to the halogen, but I guess it depends on how often you turn them on.

I'm a big fan of led and I would pay the premium, but I think in general it needs to come down in price and up in quality to draw higher volumes of buyers.

Well they did some wonky math then.Assuming within the same company you could compare lumen ratings, Phillips themselves list the LEDs at 1200lumens apiece http://download.p4c.philips.com/files/1/12834unix2/12834unix2_pss_.pdf
while they list a standard H11 at 1350 lumens Detailed specifications on Vision 12362PRB1
I'm a fan of LEDs as well, but they should be designed from the ground up around an LED driver and not a bulb retrofit like this design. Look at the new corolla or some of the european LED headlight designs. Putting LEDs onto a bulb base is like trying to put a square peg into a round hole

That's why I have stock bulbs and added a Rigid light bar and pod lights. Plenty of extra light now. Why annoy someone from a stock housing light on my commute to and from work, when I need the extra light in the backcountry I have it.

That's why I have stock bulbs and added a Rigid light bar and pod lights. Plenty of extra light now. Why annoy someone from a stock housing light on my commute to and from work, when I need the extra light in the backcountry I have it.

If I had a 2014 I'd probably put HID in those projectors and LED's for the fogs. There is a full led housing that is out here and I think is actually not unreasonable for price. But there are cheaper options for sure, just depends on your needs. I live in the city so stock works for around town with the Rigid's for out of town and off-road.
