2014 Glove Box Button Blank Removal

Search seems to come up with a lot of 4runners having a 12v socket in the glove box. None in the 2014 and I'm trying to add one. Anyone with a 2014 removed the blank button where the 12v socket should have been? I have removed numerous switch blanks in the past without issue but this is pretty stubborn. Been prying with the moulding tool and it does not want to come out. I've also tried to access from the rear of the glove box but there is not a lot of room to work with. Any help would be appreciated.

Mine a 2014 and I have the 12 volt socket... I wish my USB port was in there too

I have a 14 SR5 Premium & don't have the 12V outlet in the glove box compartment.
Strange different models would have that kind of differences in electrical outlets.

Use a good plastic pry tool and pry from the top of the circle. Use another pry tool on the bottom to give more leverage on the top. It’s tough but it will come out.
