2014 limited 4x4-leveling, lifting questions

Ok, I have a 2014 limited 4runner. I am not interested in taking this suv to the extreme, i just want a bigger tire, able to play in the mud, have some fun, and not look like a soccer mom vehicle. So with that being said, what kind of spacer kit\lift do i have to have to get a 32" tire under it and still be happy with on road and off road performance

Antman's link tells a great deal of information for the new 4Runner users, highly recommended and a good read.

I didn't go to crazy with mods but I did enough to do plenty of off-road wheeling and still be a mall cruiser.

No one beat up, harassed, or even scolded the guy, Antman gave the link to the info the guy needs based on the info/question that was posted. Maybe I just misunderstood what you are saying above though. :noidea:

I would agree with the Daystar recommend and suggest adding SpiderTraxx Wheel Spacers. The 5100s can wait if you want. I have a 14 UnLimited and have yet to change out the XREAS Suspension.

I agree, keep the Xreas system and add the Daystar spacers. I plan on this
lift on my LE, and a slightly larger tire. Xreas has been good to me on my 2005
and I plan on keeping it on my 2014.

OP your stock tires are 31.5". I would not sweat the extra half-inch.

I recently put in 1"-thick spacers in front to gain 2" lift. I put coil-rite air bags in back and a 10 psi it looks level. All for about $160.

I have a 2014 Limited as well and initially started with a mild build. In my opinion there are lots of options out there, but the best one I found was to delete the XREAS suspension off the vehicle and replace it with Bilstien 5100 shocks all the way around. I then added an adjustable coil over in the front and the Superflex HD rear spring. These will probably be overkill for you if you aren't planning on adding bumpers in the future. I would call ToyTec and speak with them about what you want to do and they can build or recommend a kit for you. My goal was to add about 3 inches of lift to my truck and then replace the wheels and get some better rubber. If you add a 17 inch wheel and get a good AT tire, you can get away with a 32 inch tire, but you may have just a little rubbing in the wheel well. There are lots of options and this is just the way I went with my build. There are also lots of resources on this forum and even videos about builds. Good luck.

really like your set up here. curious with the lift was any mpg lost? or was it so nominal its not worth mentioning.

Hey Floridaflyguy, I did see a slight loss in MPG with the change in tires. I don't believe that the lift changed the MPG, but switch from stock tires to KO2s did cause me to Lose a few MPG.
