2014 owners with lifts Help

So I got my Toytec BOSS kit installed over the weekend and left it at the default height settings. I got my 33" tires put on yesterday and went in for alignment this morning. Long story short, the tech couldn't get the caster anywhere close to stock specs (0.7 and 0.9). Now I wasn't expecting to get it to 4* stock, but I've seen people were at least able to get around 2*, or so I thought on previous years. Has something changed on the 2014's? The tech said he was at the very end of the adjustment. Camber and toe are good but it is very loose on the road and drifts to the right. I guess I'll have to end up getting some UCAs. If anyone else with a 2014 could comment with their alignment info after a lift that'd be great.

Probably just a bad/lazy/ignorant alignment tech, most of them are. They are going to have to use all 4 adjusters to get anything reasonable, and most of them will only adjust 1 pair.

I had the same issue after I had my BOSS lift installed and using all (4) adjusters for the alignment. I had Desert Rat do the install and the shop here does terrifc work (have done many of my past builds) and they know their stuff but still could not dial in the last degree needed for a perfect alignment. So we installed some Light Racing UCAs and that provided the necessary adjustability to get within spec. The truck has been riding and tracking great since.

Could you elaborate more on these 4 adjusters? The tech seemed fairly knowledgeable and took it on and off the table a few times to test things. But who knows what all he adjusted.

Do you remember what your numbers were before the light racing UCA's?

I don't recall the actual numbers so don't want to misquote, but the tech said the same thing as yours in that he was at the limit and had been trying everything possible to dial it in but just couldn't do it. I trust his work as he has done alignments on my previous Jeeps and F150s with no issues, and had done numerous 4Runners (including my 3rd Gen 4Runner with a new Toytec lift) but did admit this was his first 2014 model. But once they installed the UCAs, there were no issues at all in getting it to spec.

There is an eccentric bolt at the front and rear of the lower control arms (4 total). Most techs will only adjust the rear ones. It is a lot more work to do both, as you have to kind of go back and forth between them.

Mine was similar story but I did get more than you got...

Let the springs settle and it might get better, but UCAs are almost a must.

I stopped back by Firestone after work but the tech that did the alignment was already gone. The guy working said he'd try to give him a call and ask if he adjusted both bolts. I just looked it up in the FSM where the 2 adjustment bolts are located.

Did you happen to measure how much lift you got up front? Probably 3 plus inches. I think most of the folks that are getting a marginal alignment are at a 2" - 2-1/2" lift. You may be able to get a little better alignment by lowering the front a little bit.
