2014 plastidip!

Finally got some time tonight to break out the plastidip. It was my first time so I was a lil nervous but I followed the YouTube videos and it went great. Used some simple green to clean the side emblems and front symbol then cleaned it up and wiped it down with a shammy. Gave two coats on everything and had no issues at all. Going to do the back when I get some time this weekend hopefully. Wanna do it like the TRD pro with chrome 4 runner and black background.

This will be what I do next on the rear. Also thinking about the door handles and the white on the rear view mirrors as well.

Looks good, I'm going to be doing mine in the next few days. Did you spray the entire emblem including the honeycomb stuff between the chrome parts? And did you remove the emblem or just mask off with it on the truck? One pic looks like it's off and others look like you just did a little masking with it on...

I taped around the emblem first to make sure to protect the painted areas if there was overspray, then I cut a square in the painter's paper then taped it to the hood. Then I used the painters tape to start taping it off just around the logo. That's the pic you see where it looks like I removed it. I used the black rubber around the emblem to attach the tape to. Since the honeycomb is black, I didn't worry about it, it's also solid so there's no need to have it taped off bc it won't go through it.
