2014 t4r sr5 ride height imbalance

I hope I don't sound a bit anal here but I did a quick measurement and I noticed that the ride height on the driver side is about an eighth of an inch lower than the right side. Is this ok or am I too paranoid?

Thanks.

Someone needs to fine a mate to ride in the passenger seat with him and level the height out

At 1/8" of an inch difference there's nothing on earth you can do to balance that out. The smallest driver side trim spacer they make is going to give you ~1/2" lift, which would just throw you out of whack even more, lol.

If you're real anal, maybe this will help ease things in your head. Go measure the ride height with an empty tank of gas and a full tank; then measure it with a driver in the seat and no driver. You'll soon realize there is never going to be a setting where it's going to be perfectly dead level unless you don't plan to drive it ever.

Welcome to the partially OCD and way too anal club, ask me how I know about how much the height varies from scenario to scenario :tape:

Heh, yeah mine is 1/4 inch difference and some are as much as a half inch. The battery, gas tank and jack are all on the driver's side, and then there is the driver too sometimes! :D

1/8th inch is pretty damn good!

Thanks for the Therapy guys! I'm actually getting better now. I don't notice the strange noises or rattles anymore. Even the wind noise from the side mirrors and the squishing sound of the brakes don't bother me. This new car paranoia will wear off soon, as it did with the rest of the cars I have owned in the past. Can't wait to take it up to my favorite trout lakes in the interior of BC this summer.

It's not your vehicle that's off. It is the skewed surface of the ground that is different at each corner. Unless you have a surface plate to measure from!

I wouldn't be surprised if the 5th gens have the same Driver's Side lean that the 4th gens have (I really hadn't bothered to notice) that gets more exaggerated as you lift the vehicle. The frames and general layout of the guts are the same, I know it was a common 120 platform deal and the 150 platform is near identical (frame wise) to the 120.
