2015 4Runner SR5 - 4WD KNOB

First post, been a fan of these forums for years way back when I owned a '88 4Runner.

Anyways, I am in the process of buying a new 2015 4Runner SR5 (Upgrade Package, I'm in Canada), and noticed that on the 4WD knob there is no option for 2WD, there is only the following;

H4F
H4L
L4L

My question is in the H4F more, what's the ratio for front and rear? I really wished they had kept the 2WD option for fun, I do want to do donuts and stuff and wondering if this can be done easily or will the "AWD" kick in.

I'm really sorry if this has been said before on these forums, I just couldn't find it.

For 2015 all 4Runners have the knob (H4F, H4L, L4L) except the Trail Edition which can be still put into 2WD.

I'm in Canada by the way, not sure if US models are different. But they are all made in Japan correct?

H4F - full time 4WD, centre diff unlocked
H4L - 4HI, centre diff locked
L4L - 4LO, centre diff locked

Only the Limited has full-time 4WD. SR5 and TE are part-time and therefore should have 2HI instead of H4F, 4HI instead of H4L, and 4LO instead of L4L since they do not have the locking centre diff.
 
It was mentioned yesterday that Canadian 4Runners from 2010-2012 are called SR5, but there is a "limited edition" that is essentially the Limited model. This appears to be what he has.

I'm pretty sure they have taken out the 2WD option for all 2015's, maybe someone with a '15 SR5 can confirm.

Looks like I'm importing a Canadian SR5...

No, in Canada we have an SR5, SR5 Upgrade package (adds leather, sunroof), Trail Edition, and Limited. You just need to go to toyota.ca to see this is the case.

You may have missed the part right above that that says:
"SR5 and Trail Edition feature a rugged Part-Time 4-Wheel Drive System. On the Trail Edition, a centre-console mounted lever allows the driver to choose between three drive modes. Limited Package is equipped with Full-Time, Four Wheel Drive, a Locking Centre Differential, and a centre-console mounted 3-Mode 4-Wheel Drive Switch."
 
So basically the BASE model SR5 has the 2WD option (Trail as well) but the SR5 UPGRADE model has the 3 mode 4WD knob without 2WD.

There is only a 2-3 thousand dollar difference b/w the SR5 and SR5 UPG, which one would you recommend?

Also, with the 4HI can I drive all throughout the winter without having to disengage it back to 2HI? What's the max speed for 4HI?

No, the SR5 and SR5 upgrade only have part-time 4WD. The Limited is the only package that has full-time 4WD.

Gravy goes on french fries with cheese curds melted on.

Also Swiss Chalet sauce is a great substitute for gravy for anything.
