2015 Drivers seat clicking sound

I posted this on the general thread but it might be better here... I have a '15 TEP and when I accelerate or hit the brakes something on the underside of my seat clicks. I drives me crazy, and has been happening since less than 10k miles. I took it to a dealer and they fixed it with some crazy expensive part, something about the seat track, and it started happening again like 3 weeks later. Has anyone else experienced this? Thanks!

Yep, have the same problem on my 2015 but I have not taken it to the dealer yet. Seems like one of the seat tracks is loose from the floor.

Mine does it as well. Being 6"5 I have it set way back and that's when it does it. So I found the only way to stop it is to go all the way back and move it up 1/4" forward and bam the most annoying click goes away my 2c

There is another thread on here with a fix for this (something to do with trimming a plastic piece i think). I looked but did not locate it yet.

Same here. Im 6'4 and if I move the seat up just a bit from all the way back
the noise is gone. My techs couldn't find anything wrong with the seat or the track. When the noise was there though it was annoying as hell

Hey Bob Marlin,
How is the seat now? I have a 2016 TE and my seat started doing this same thing at 4K. I don't want to take it back into the dealer and waste my time if the fix only lasts a few weeks.

I was seriously thinking of trading in mine with 2K miles because of this click. I was going a little insane with that sound. Like said above moved the seat up a touch and it was better.

I tried that the first time and yes it did go away for a couple of days, then came back. lowered the seat, noise was gone for a day, now its back. doesn't happen every time or at least frequent enough to reproduce for a service tech the short time they spend with it. Thought this vehicle would be put together a little bit more than my previous 2 jeep wranglers.

The 4Runner is 4x the vehicle a Wrangler is on a bad day.
