I just bought it for my wife this weekend. It did NOT come with running boards. My wife is already complaining about getting in and out, especially the two kids needing a boost. I've looked on here for 2 days and cannot find a valid part # or verification that the CHROME running boards will fit. This vehicle doesn't have the cladding under the door and that seems to cause ALOT of confusion. I called the dealer and they ONLY show the all black running board as an option. I found this pic on the internet of a 2014 and it has the running boards she wants. Is there something different between the 2014 and 2015 that I'm not aware of? Can someone shed some light?

<<<<<EDIT >>>>>
I called the dealer back and had her check the part # for a 2014 and said it was the same #. After an email or two and a picture she confirmed that the one shown in the pic above is the ALL BLACK one and in the specs its says "with stainless trim". PART # PT92589140 = $549.

After I searched that part # I find this post http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-gen-t4rs/164198-2014-4runner-sr5-running-boards.html Hopefully this will be the end of the road for my quest for running boards.

I bet undertheradar and Wis4 can be great friends.
Wis4 took off his running board, undertheradar can just buy it from him, and then they can talk about HIDs.

Well aren't you just a smart a$$ chicken chit, hide behind a computer screen mfer? Reread the post Dic, I called the parts dept. and they had about as much brains as you have. I called a different dealership and had them look at an email I sent. I actually work for a living and don't sit around a virtual world on the computer preying on new posters that are overwhelmed with information, just to be a complete @ss. Trust me when I say Id love to cross paths with you.

If you have ANY desire to off road this in the future, get some sliders instead. $200 more for OPORs @$650. If you decide to dump the steps later, you'll end up losing the initial $549 AND have to pony up for real sliders!
