You've done a really fantastic job on this. I would not have had the time or patience to do all you've done to get this mod completed. Highly impressive.

If only some company was to make a great projector set up like this with built in LED day times. They'd sell a great deal of them.

I'd suggest you save your money. I first had FXR's @ 35W, and they were excellent. I got a wild hair, and changed out to the LS460Rs @ 55w. While the headlight's reach and width are superior, the extra cost of 55w gained nothing in color or brightness. In theory, the bulb life will be diminished too. If I had do-overs, I would stay with 35w.

Here are photos of my cutoff. Exact same retrofit using IS350 projectors, clear lens upgrade and tuning.

Although I agree about LW, doubtful they have an "El Stig" logo up there, as they are a left coast competitor.

The difference is I'm not charging $1200 for a set of those headlights. Yes, they do just about exactly what I do, but for the low end, no lens etch, no demon eyes or even LEDs, they're $1200. I put the LED strips in for "no charge" if you want to call it that. I can't imagine they get much business. At that price, I'd rather try to tackle a set of these myself even if I didn't know what I was doing. And that's why I made this thread.

Mine have gone from $900-$1100. Depending on what you want. That's bulbs, harness, DRL LEDs and new headlights. Seems that Kustom 54 is a little money hungry.

My M4 headlights were over $1K to get modified and I had to pull the lights and send them off for almost 3 months. On the 4Runner I got Halos, Demon eyes and they alternate with the turn signal and the Halos act as DRLs and mine were ~$1,200 and I could have added the LED bar but didn't care for the look with my blacked out housings. Maybe it's my perspective but OSS who is pretty much the king of headlight modifications in the BMW world is significantly more expensive than K54 and doesn't have the same level of customer service.

My retrofitter said the same thing. Hylux makes a really reliable ballast and the CBI's are probably a better color for me. Thanks for the heads up. Ill probably wait until this bulb/ballast begin to diminish before replacing.

Absolutely remarkable headlights. I'd say 160* beam spread. Just beautiful at night. I did spend a shit-ton, but then I have no lift, no AT tires, no UCA, no LCA, no skid plates, no remote shocks, no rock sliders, no winch, no f/r bumpers, no rack, no compressor .... see where I'm goin'?

Can you compare the LS460 and the LS430's? Had experience with both? I'm looking to get some LS430's for my brothers F-150 but they are scarce or incredibly overpriced. I'm thinking about going with the LS460's. I've been told 170+ degree beam on the LS430's. You say 160 degree for the LS460's though. Still not bad.

* I cannot. I chose the 460 because it's Bi-Xenon. Made sense to me to have use of the HID for high beam along with my halogen high beam. Technically, mine were called 460-R. I've forgotten what the "R" is for, but you could find out on HidP.

* No. Both headlights are scarce and pricey. Irrelevant IMO - for pennies per day more, I'll have the best thank you. Same as owning Michelins IMO.

* Realistically, they are probably the same, and best guesses. I just know they are wide as hell - I just guessed at -10* per side = 160*. They sure as hell light up the ditches on both sides of the road.

* Know this before you retrofit: it's a big light, and the 460 might be bigger than the 430. Again, HidP. I'm rusty.

Hmmm...I'm guessing the wiring is not the same in all 5th gens? I know they changed the body somewhat in 2014+.

This is what I've found and what I plan on doing. This came from [MENTION=119516]jicko[/MENTION]

"In my post above (there is the diagram), if you disconnect the DRL signal(anywhere along the line, from pin37 of 2C or the LG/LightGreen wire inside the harness or pin17 of FA1 or the LG/LightGreen wire inside the Relay/Fuse Box/underneath the relays&fuses) from the Main ECU to the DRL Relay, you isolated the DRL from the high beam.

Now, you can take that DRL signal, and use it to drive something else..... probably should thru a relay tho.

Trying to put in a drl on off switch. Is connector 2C the one at the bottom left side kick panel facing backwards? I spotted a light green wire there but not sure, there are a couple more light green wires around.
