Hello all!

I'm back after a short hiatus in a Porsche 911 (will get another 911 but this time it will be parked next to my 4Runner).

Started off as a 2016 SR5 Premium that I picked up months ago. Never got around to posting here, though. I'll post some pictures of it the day I picked it up and how it sits now!

The day I picked it up.. had the dealer put on some TRD wheels on stock dunlop tires (horrible horrible tires in the rain):

Interesting. What mods does Brabus do to the 4Runner?

I've only ever seen Brabus tuned Mercedes. I think I saw a Brabus Tesla Model S in Bev Hills the other day but couldn't totally confirm as it drove by.

Great Looking 4Runner!

I completely agree with the crappy Dunlop's! Living in FL, I slip and slide more that I care to. Not to mention Hurricane Hermine coming through with 5 billion inches of rain. Grabbing some BFG AT KO2s or Cooper Discoverer AT3's soon!

It's just cosmetic, they don't do anything for the 4Runner.

But your eyes were not mistaken, Brabus does indeed tune Tesla's. I split time between KC and Bev Hills, have only seen a Brabus Tesla at Platinum Motorsports but none rolling around.

Glad everyone else agrees about the Dunlops! Was an excuse for some 33" KO2's ;)

Just my opinion but slapping on a Brabus emblem to a T4R dilutes the brand of a premier MB tuner that has been building some of the most powerful turnkey MB's with as much notoriety as Alpina for BMW. No one will ever think you have the 6.0 Biturbo under the hood of your Toyota. Sorry but it's just ricey with a side of sauerkraut.

Unless I had looked it up and then knew what I was looking for, I wouldn't have even noticed the emblem swap.

And if I had seen it on the road, I would have assumed it was one of your initials....

 All good to me. Someone has a Hybrid Synergy emblem on a 4R on here and I never saw anyone give him crap. I doubt anyone believes he has a gas/electric hybrid under the hood of a lifted rig...

To each their own. Good lookin truck man.

Cool. good looking truck.

I'm finally ditching the dunlops for KO2s on labor day sale this Saturday. In stock size though...

The last line made me chuckle.. And crave a Reuben.

On a serious note, If I cared what other people thought of my daily driver, I would have kept my 911. Also.. To your point.. would any person outside of a car enthusiast even know there are heavily modified motors under the hood of a 700? Nobody thinks it's anything more than a badge on this Runner, and as I replied above, I will never say otherwise.

Thanks, King! Many people do not notice and if they do, they think it's just my initials like you said. And spot on, nobody is going to think that it has a built motor.

Good choice! In C rating you'll enjoy great fuel economy and much better all around performance.. If I didn't lift mine 3" I would have gone the same route. Even now I think I would be just as satisfied doing a simple level kit and stock size tires!
Like the CupGang sticker.

Thanks, 3rd! Great group of guys.

The lift looks good. Curious how much mark up they put on this truck?

Thanks joe! You ride motocross by chance? I actually did the build myself (at least picked all the parts myself) so there wasn't any markup outside of the TRD wheels I had them put on.

Nice man. I used to ride road bikes back in the day but gave it up when I grew up lol. Getting back into soon with a GS I'm thinking.

Ok so it's German, and even Daimler AG... But I think I would rather see them tune a 4runner than this thing.
Brabus - Tuning for Smart

Saw one in my work parking lot and had to just stare for a minute.... like when I ran across this episode of Mythbusters where they ACTUALLY polished a turd.

For any of you that has one, my apologies....

This.
Clicked on the thread thinking WTF is Brabus doing with a T4R.

MB owns Smart... Makes more sense than Brabus touching a T4R.
