2017 4Runner - Techstream doesn't have a Customize Button?

Downloaded Techstream 12.00.127 and installed
Purchased this Mini VCI Cable from eBay.

Drivers installed, I can see the cable, I can connect to the car when its in "ON" mode (two button presses without touching the break) but the customize button is not there.

The cable firm ware is 1.4.1

Attached a screen shot. Any ideas? What am I doing wrong?

That screenshot isn't helping much, super tiny... But it looks like it's missing a lot of buttons on the left... but I'm not sure what version you're using.

Are you using Techstream Lite from Toyota or a cracked version? There isn't a 12.00.127 software version as of this post, it's currently only at 12.00.125, are you sure you have the correct version for your OS installed?

Have you tried accessing a module like Body Control, then going to Utility and seeing if it has "Customize" there. It's a bit of a roundabout way of doing it, but it gets you there was well.

In the software is the problem not in the cable.
I have this version and it works.

Did anyone figure this out? I'm in the same boat. Mini-VCI with firmware 1.4.1, and Techstream 12.20.024. I can connect to the car, and see all the TPMS data, but there's no blue Utility button to enter new TPMS IDs.

I'll give v12.10.019 a try, but wanted to see what worked for others.

Success!

An update to my previous post: I tried v12.10.019 and it worked!

The missing "Utility" and "Customize" buttons were there, and I was able to register the IDs for the TPMS sensors for my winter tires. I could see the new IDs, and it was picking up the pressure and temperature from them, so that all seemed to work. I also browsed through the Customize options.

Just in case it makes a difference to someone: after I uninstalled v12.20.024, I also deleted the Techstream directory in Program Files. The procedure to install v12.10.019 was identical to v12.20.024.

Some more details:
- 2017 TRDP
- Crappy old laptop running Windows XP 32-bit
- Mini-VCI with firmware 1.4.1
- The laptop didn't have an internet connection when connected to the 4R

Not too computer savvy, and I can't figure out how to update from Ver 12.20.024.... Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Update: Downloaded, and installed 12.10.019. Still need the registration code unless someone knows something I don't.

Update #2: Got it figured out. New key works. Thanks for the helpful writeup!

Strange. When I went to connect today with v12.10.019 it couldn't auto-detect the vehicle (had to select between 4R and Tundra, and was given a list of options which I didn't know which to select). Tried reinstalling v12.10.019. It auto-detected the car, but I no longer had the utility button.
