2017 TRD Off Road - running boards

Looking for a little help on this one. I just picked up a 2017 TRD Off Road Premium (to replace a 2004 Sport Edition, which replaced a 1992 4Runner, but all that's a whole 'nuther story ...), and it didn't come with running boards. A trip skiing yesterday confirmed for me that I need running boards or nerf bars to make it easier to reach the roof, where I put skis in the winter and bikes and kayaks in the summer.

Does anybody know whether Toyota has kept the same bolt pattern for this model that it had on the previous 5th-gen Trail models? It appears to me from research here that all 5th-gen Trail models had the same bolt pattern for running boards, but I haven't seen information regarding this for 2017 models.

Thanks much in advance.

I can't say for sure, but I think they are the same. Wish you were closer, I'll be taking them off of my 2017 TRDOR as soon as it comes in.

If you don't have an answer by then, I can take some rough measurements of mine once they're off.

I can only speculate, but I'm sure they are. For a basic running board, these are great https://www.amazon.com/Genuine-Toyota-Accessories-PT938-89100-Running/dp/B0097M85AE

That style you posted with the "vents" at the transition from horizontal to vertical is the old style offered up to 13' I believe, then it changed to a different style like currently coming on Trail/OR and Pro..

Yep, you can still get them aftermarket. And the mounting is the same. Have them on my '16. Always liked the look better. And last I checked you can't get the current trail running boards aftermarket.
