2020 GLITCHING infotainment unit..

Hi all,

This is rather startling to me. I have had this 4runner for 4 days, and less than 200 miles and the infotainment basically looked like a GPU burn while using carplay.

I pressed home and it immediately fixed the issue and then pressed carplay and Waze was back to normal which makes me think its a software issue. Has anyone had any experience with this? Just disappointing to see this with a brand new 4runner with <200 miles.

I guess Toyota is still using crappy radios. I was a service advisor for 2 year at Toyota and the only thing people would have issues with was radios... on all models.

I would recommend you take it to the dealer and show them the picture. Although the might just shake you off and say it was a one time thing or blame your phone.

I have taken my 2019 3 times for disconnecting my calls while on Bluetooth and there always seems to be a “software update” that supposedly takes care of the issue. I kinda gave up on it

That sucks to hear, but I guess it’s good that it’s the only problem. I emailed the same pic to the dealer i bought the truck from, and I do think they’ll get back to me tomorrow. Hopefully it was a one time thing I guess? Compared to other issues I’ve read the infotainment was having, this was just a blip and then worked normally again. Everything like calls, CarPlay etc all work fine
