Hi all. I've been lurking on this forum for a bit now. Does anyone know of a constant power wire that I can tap in the overhead console? I've done quite a bit of searching on here, the other forum, and Google but haven't found anything. I'm trying to install a Thinkware dashcam. They require 3 wires (ground, accessory, and constant). I tried tapping into the single harness that plugs into the overhead console. There appears to be only one red wire in the 2020 that had power with the ignition off, but as it turns out, that wire has the power shutoff after about 20 minutes. I used mirror taps for the rearview mirror for ground and accessory but cannot find one up there for constant. I'm trying to not have to run a line and use an add-a-fuse down to the fuse box on the driver side in order to keep the lid on the fuse box. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I’ll try to be more help than the spammer that can’t even spell....I can’t remember which one I tapped into for my Blackvue, but just grab a test light and you’ll find it easily. I use that thing all the time in vehicles, so it won’t go unused. I have to pull my console today, so I’ll try and post back when I do. I have used the power magic pro in the past and set it to 6hrs for parking mode and it worked well in my old truck. They’re hit or miss on quality though and overpriced unfortunately.

Yeah...dang spammer. That would be great if you could let me know. The overhead console (w/ the sunglass holder, Homelink buttons, etc) only has 1 harness plug going into it. I used a test light on that and only found 1 wire that I thought had constant power (ended up having power for only about 20 minutes). I guess I might have to run a line for constant power down. Thanks in advance.
