2023 digital display of MPH

The nice digital display in my 2023 between the gauges that can be toggled to show speed (MPH) as I'm driving. The lower half of the MPH numbers are slightly darker than the upper half. Nit-picking? Heck yeah, but Toyota has us all spoiled. I tried to take a photo with my phone and guess what? It doesn't even show up in the photos. Has anybody else seen this (assuming that you can understand what I am talking about)? Thanks.

Thanks friend!! I was feeling a bit crazy even posting about it.

When I used to buy GM products, I learned a basic truth: "If I feel something might be a problem, it most certainly is"

Now that my last six purchases have been Toyotas (all 5th gen 4Runners :thumb3, my new default is: "If I think there is a problem, there isn't."

I've never had that one proven wrong.

If you don't mind me asking, how the hell are you on your 6th fifth gen?

I can understand 3 considering we're going back to 2010, and hell, I could even potentially understand 4. But 6?!?

I thought the same thing. I’m on my 1st. A 2005 that I bought new and still driving today.

Yeah that's wild, 6 4unners in some period of time between 2010 and 2023. I guess that's roughly every 2 years, plenty of people go that route.

I'm in my 2011 4runner, bought used in 2013, still going strong. My now 12 year old daughter may get it when she's 16 or 17 if she's lucky. Although I'm tempted to get a last year 5th gen SR5-P...
