211k on OEM radiator?

How worried should I be with the "pink milkshake" issue at 211k miles? What's the best course of action?

Koyo is an OEM replacement as I believe Toyota used them as a vendor. Not sure on ebay deal but that is the seller and model I bought for my 97 last year but I think mine was around $140 shipped.

You don't have to use Koyo. I utilized a Radiator from another Japanese company (The name isn't coming to mind, but it wasn't Koyo or Denso) that I got from 1-800 radiators. In the history of their business, the one I chose had the lowest number of people utilize the lifetime warranty compared to the Koyo's and Denso's -- which is why I bought it.

I can dig up the part number and brand if you really want.

I did mine around the same mileage as you inquired about.

Interesting thread.
I have 477,000 km (296,000 miles) on the original rad.
Flushed every 3 years since new.
Anyone else here with that kind of life?

callmeanengineer you got 4wd? If not you don't have a factory tranny cooler going into the lower part of your factory engine radiator and no potential milkshake issue. mine is original, works and looks like a charm. The solution of milkshake isn't just replacing the radiator you can also achieve the same with bypassing the factory tranny cooler (as long as your radiator is good). I'm planning on having my oem last as long as wc11's! woohoo! :bigok:

Just replaced my 230k mileage radiator, started leaking on the top end tank. If it was me I would just do the cooler mod like stated until you need to replace it.

Also, what online parts stores do you recommend? I'm not too fond of Ebay (bad past experiences with it)

I'm pretty sure the 4runner I just bought with 250K miles on it has the original radiator. I'm a little worried, but I have other things to address first
