Well everyone has a right to their own opinion, reguardless how inconsiderate or negative it may be. The opinion does not count as a hate crime or even discrimination. From what I have seen the guy is only guilty of having a poor opinion of different ethnic groups. I havent seen anywhere that he has not hired or fired or harrassed personally someone due to his ignorant opinion.

The guy obviously has poor morals and judgement, nobody seems to care that he is guilty of sleeping around on his wife. He is blatanly guilty of being an unfaithful douche and nobody bats an eye, he gives an ignorant opinion of someones ethnic background and everyone looses their minds...

This country seems so jacked up sometimes... or most of the time rather.

Anyone who doesn't think America is a serious country needs to go travel the world.

I've visited over 10 countries (not a record I realize) and I always find it surprising the liberals who think Europe is so great just because they read it on the internet OR the conservatives who think America is now down the tubes, implying that there is a better country out there.

I believe we can be a better country if we make the right decisions which is why we have elections.

Bottom line? If you don't like what he said or believes then don't support him. Don't watch the game. Don't wear the shirt. Boycott everything he owns. Remember he is the owner of the team. He is in it just like all other business owners - for the money. Hit him where it hurts because in the end that is all he will understand.

Just read on the news that the NBA commissioner banned him from the game for life and fined him $2.5million. And apparently is urging the NBA board of governors to force a sale of the team.

I remarked to a buddy of mine that the lifetime ban stings more than the fine. He won't miss the money, but a longtime owner not able to show his face at another game ever again probably hurts.

Hard to take an 80 year old racist billionaire seriously, especially considering he will probably be dead in a few years. The guy is awful, and being banned from the NBA for the rest of his short life is a fitting punishment.

That being said, a couple things:

From a legal standpoint, how can you force him to sell the Clippers? Wasn't what he said basically in the privacy of his home, and recorded without his consent? Seems like a slippery slope if you're forcing someone out because of words spoken in private, even though they're extremely offensive.

Mark Jackson (Warriors coach) tells Clippers fans to boycott the game. Really? I don't like the idea of my money going into the pockets of a racist, but do it for the team. That's who you're going to support anyways, not the owner. Those guys need the support of the fans, and I don't think a boycott is the right way to go about it in a playoff series.

So let's say he decides to take the NBA to court for their swift reaction to this situation?

The real creepy looking head of the league stated that his punishment was in reaction to his argument that was recorded by his ex-play thing. If Mr. Sterling wants to fight for his right to keep his team and attend games. How, in the court of law will this punishment hold up? The only piece of evidence is a recording that was obtained illegally in the state of California. Seems to me the NBA commission reacted to fast. I hope Donald fights for his rights, and wins, yes what he said was wrong, we all agree. But I ask all of you, are you all innocent in your own life? I don't know about you, but I'm strong enough to admit I too have said things in the heat of an argument that don't truly reflect who I am as a person. I think everyone judging Mr. Sterling are themselves guilty of some form of offensive remarks toward someone else. You can lie, and say I'm wrong, but deep down everyone reading this can relate to what I'm saying. Unless of course Al Sharpton is reading this, always the first to overreact when it suits his agenda.

I hope we all learned something from Benghazi about the dangers of quickly passing judgment on a situation that is fed by the media, they have an uncanny ability to swarm on a story like a pack of hyenas, and control what vulnerable readers think.

This truly is a sad situation, not just for Mr. Sterling for being who he is but for the team, the fans the poor people dying from some form of kidney disease( yes his returned money probably wouldn't have been enough to find a cure) but it was funding none the less and I'm sure every bit helps. But what's truly the most heart breaking thing about this story is how young women will sell their soul to be rich, I mean she obviously has no moral compass to begin with but she will never learn that beauty comes from within and all the plastic surgery in the world won't fix what's wrong with her.

I do feel it's a sad thing for Mr. Sterling, he has obvisouly lived his whole life this way, anytime someone lives a life full of hatred, and young mistresses they obvisouly are a broken soul. Yes, he did hurt people....words have a way of offending others, but that's because they choose to let those words disrupt their life, they choose to allow someone who they never met distroy their life. Not to confuse Mr. Sterlings actions with kindness (probably only did it for the tax writoff) but he has givin tons of donations to many different orginazations.

Sterlings punishment is just, I don't disagree with it. I'm just stating that the punishment was handed out because of a tape, where he was caught saying wrong things about a group of people. He obviously has a record of being the bigot he is but the past actions are not cause for the recent punishment and I'm curious what will happen if he decides to fight the punishment? I have no clue, from the little I know, the tape can't be used in a court of law because of the way in which it was recorded without his knowledge.

What's really happening here is another decoy to get the public all worked up on issues that are really not new, news. Sterling has always been this way, it's just now someone decided it was a good time to bring it to the ABC news and to get the public off real matters of the world and our nation. B
