Just in case someone wanted to see what they look like on a stock 4runner. I was going to go with the 75s but decided on 70s and feel they look good on a stock height runner. *sorry for the shape of the 4runner, still going through mechanicals and haven't put any time into cleanup yet or wheel refinish*

Website says 4 ply. These are the p265s not LT. Rated at 2469lb. Tires are only 41lbs each. Seemed reasonable for an AT.

I did not know much about General but after research they get a lot of positive reviews.

I have had them on mine in that 265/70/16 size for over 2 yrs. great tire in my opinion, very low noise great ride, and they wear really good. I have been waiting for them to wear out so i can go to a 265/75/16. It does not look like that is going to happen anytime soon.

Just on local roads up to 50mph but I did notice them more then the goodyear rsa the PO had on. Just a slight growl since I had all windows down. GY RSA has a much less aggressive pattern.

I have had a set in 285/75/16 for about a year now, and have put about 15K miles on them. I have been extremely happy with them so far!

any updates on these? how'd you like them during this winter? did it affect your MPG? i also live in the northeast.

i've driven on these before in my uncle's f150 this past winter. they were amazing in the snow when we blasted those few weeks. it's much better about road noise than the 4runner so it'll be hard to tell how much of a difference there will be versus a highway tire on the runner.

I am still running the 285s, they did great on my winter trips to the mountains, and on my mild offroading. I waited a little too long to rotate them, so at the moment they are a little noisy while i wear them back into shape.

Any other snow impressions from northerly members on these tires? They are on my short list. They were so damn cheap during the discount tire/ebay deal. Shoulda just bought some 315's and stored them while they were on sale.
