265/70R16 to 265/70R15

Hello All,
I have a 2002 4Runner with R16 tires on it that have around 20-25k miles. My other car is a 1997 Nissan Patherfinder with basically brand new tires, but the rim/wheel is R15. Unfortunately, the pathfinder bit the dust; I wanted to know if I could salvage the tires from it though.

I haven't validated that the bolt patterns lines up yet, but assuming it does, is it possible to move the rims/wheels (with the tire attached) from my pathfinder to the 4Runner even though the rim/wheel is 1" smaller?

Nope, they will not fit over the front brakes.

Yeah, +1 on the guy above me. 15 inch wheels don't fit over our calipers.
16 inches is the least.

I got 15" steel wheels to fit my 4runner. I would discount them until you try it.

Not all 4runners came with the 16" wheels. If nothing else, try them out before you get rid of them.

its unlikely that they will fit, but some 15s do fit, you will just have to try it and see
