275/65/18 Duratracs On A Limited Load C?

So I've been looking at buying a 4Runner.

I like the Duratrac tires. On a Limited I understand that means the 275/65/18 is the closest to OEM size available.

From what I can find this size is only available in an E load.

Does anybody know differently?

I really had hoped for a C load as I don't plan to tow or go near sharp rocks much and would rather gain the mpg and lose the weight.

I'm running the 275/65/18 Load E DT and don't mind the firmness, I'm use to it now.

This probably isn't the right form to say this, but my 4Runner will probably see 95% city and 4.5% gravel... not leaving much for the bush.

But, I want an aggressive looking tire that performs well in snow and ice. Duratracs seem to fit the bill best based on what I've read in on here and this article, too.

Yet another 'But' is that I want as close to factory ride as possible and to keep the fuel economy as good as possible (refer to 95% city above).

So, yes, I imagine I can get used to the firmness but was just hoping I wouldn't have to. Sigh.

In fact I can go Load C with 265/70R17 from what I've seen and I've been tossing that idea around but my first choice was to stick with the Limited wheels, if possible.

My ideal would have been a C load Duratrac in a +1 configuration; i.e. 265/65/18. My second choice, a C Load in 275/65/18. Now I'm on to my 3rd choice so I'm struggling a little... I could go with 17s but that means buying new rims and trying to sell the old 18s. That's an expense I'd like to avoid if possible as I'm already stretching things just trying to buy the 4Runner to begin with!

Sigh. I would love to trade for some 17" Trail Edition wheels ...

If you're not running a lift, I don't think the 275 will work very well anyway...rub

I'd probably go 265/70/17 if I went BFG AT; on tire rack those are load C. It's just I don't like them quite as much as the Duratracs... hmmm... all good ideas, though.

I didn't see Load C on the 265/65/18 BFG AT T/A KO's on tirerack.

I'm not running a lift yet but was planning spidertrax and the daystar 2.5/1.5. How did that work out for you? Was there trimming/cutting/mudflap removal with the BFG's? How much had to move/cut with the Duratracs?
