Hi all,
4Runner/off-roading/Tire Newb here.
So I’ve read the forums, checked the tire chart comparison but have a couple questions.
I currently have a 3” lift on my 08 SR5. I have 275-65-18 MT on now. I live in Oregon so we get a lot of rain. I do 90% pavement/Highway driving but will be heading to the backcountry for some light to moderate off roading.
My gas milaegae has been pretty abysmal with what I currently have. After some research I’ve decided I’m probably going with the Falken Wildpeak A/T3W 265 /70 R18.
Will switching to this size help with gas mileage at all?
Aside from the obvious, height/diameter differences are there any drawback/pros/cons to switching to a smaller tire?
I’m assuming with the lift I shouldn’t have any issues getting these tires on w/o having to do anything to the mud flaps etc. here are the specs on both:
