275/70/17 Picture request!

BFG KO2 in 275/70R17
I've had mine on for about 1000 miles so far. I chose white letters out on white paint and I'm glad I did. Some observations:
-They look much better than the stock Dunlops, and even make the stock SR5 wheels look nice IMO. Pictures don't do it justice.
-They aren't louder than the Dunlops, the noise is just a deeper hum.
-The stronger sidewalls give a very slightly harsher ride; nobody but me will ever notice that. The benefit on-road is that you don't have as much lateral sway from thin sidewalls.
-I can't feel that they're noticeably heavier, but my butt gauge can tell a difference in the increased rolling resistance.
-My gas mileage average hasn't changed on my computer yet, though I expect to take a 0.3-0.5 mpg hit.
-There is no rubbing at all.

Cooper AT3
Here is mine with Cooper AT3 C rated 275/70/17. Great tire, minimally noisier, slightly stiffer which improved the ride by making it do a bit less of the front end dive under braking. Still working on the optimum pressure, currently 41 Front/44 rear. This is definitely better than the 32 all around put in by the installer and unnoticed by me for a few days.
Cornfed spacers on stock suspension, 1" Front, 0.5" rear.

Great thread for this new TEP owner. I was debating 285's, but I think this thread has convinced me that 275 KO 2's will be juuuust fine. Anyone running the KO 2's with spidertrax spacers? I'd like to know if you get any rubbing and if you needed to do any mods to reduce rubbing.

Hey I am sorry delay. Thanks for liking the setup. In this picture yes this was Billies @ 1.75 setting with all stock coils. Stock rear coils and 2 OME spacers on top. Worked excellent. Was super smooth on trails but I wanted a little stiffer. Im so use to big trucks the corner sway got old. Also loaded with gear and stuff for trips it sagged a lot. Now on OME 884 Coils I think in front. Billies at lowest setting and rear is 1.5 SAW which are a little taller than I like but maybe this summer of constant weight in back will help lower. They drive perfect just a bit stiffer than stock and handle great. I have the spacers from OME sitting in garage if your interested. Worked great for me.

Curious everyones input on there tire pressure (also add what wheel your using in regards to width). Done a lot of testing and recently noticed I'm all over the road. I was at 35/38 approx. Tried higher and lower in past but see a lot of older posts saying they run 50 psi along with BFGoodrich recommending that as well. Just pumped to 50 front and 45 rear. So far I like it not near as stiff as expected. Handles better in corners.

No tire rub at all on completely stock suspension. I really like the look and the ride is perfectly acceptable. Much like others on here have said, I wish they came in C load rather than only E load to save some weight, and they're naturally a little louder than a good set of highway tread tires. They are a major improvement in both ride and appearance over the stock Dunlops though.

Great thanks for the info. I may go OME coils and the sway 1.5 in the rears as well. I carry about t 50-75 extra pounds of gear constantly but not sure if thats enough to warrant the sways. More research, more debating, more head scratching lol. Thx again.

Perfect setup. You won't be dissapointed and if you have at least that on all the time it won't seem to bad. Ride is perfect.Summer time I have my bicycle rack on 99% of the time and then some bike gear, and bike.... say 90 lbs or so total with rack and it doesn't really change much but maybe somewhat smoother in rear/sagged a hair closer to level (being higher rake empty). Just put truck through a real rock garden stretch of trails yesterday seems to be smoother than every and actually got the rear down a bit.
Maybe all in my head but install and find a nice spot to flex rear each side a few times or get collapsed. Seems to feel better (mental games im sure)

Sorry last question. On your prior setup (1.75 Billes + stock coils + 20mm rear spacers) - how was your on-road drive quality - generally speaking?
I know you mentioned some sway in the corners but I have to assume you had a better-than-stock on-road ride (given the billes)?
I'm doing about 5% off-roading so I want an optimal on-road setup (and save $$ if I can)...

Oh I understand completely. I tend to over build for intended purpose. The original setup of 5100's spaced and clip height in front was an AMAZING upgrade over stock. Shocks deff made smoother yet firmer ride. Front coils at 1.75" made for stock feel not harsh anywhere ever. Took 75%+ of brake dive away if anyone could notice it. Smooth and floated down highway as stock just a nice dampeded feel. Offroad on our fun mild trails which are all uneven and rocky it couldn't spill my coffee haha. Very smooth. New coil setup is great. Gave me the even firmer cornering and more stable 70+mph speeds. Still not being far over stock (or with 1.75 lets say 20% or so more what I wanted). Did not make it to harsh or anywhere to much. Rear was biggest gain having towing and loaded weight when I did I had a lot, felt better. The original setup would still be on there if I did just get bored and want to try taller spring. I wanted a firmer rear spring over spacers, which my OCD wouldn't let me do without doing front as well.
I still have my 4 OME spacers sitting under bench, damn new condition if your interested to get parts flowing!

Just installed Bikstein 5100's all around and a 1.5" rear spacer. Front is set at 2.5". Ditched the crappy stock Dunlop tires for new BFG KO2's size 275/70R17
