285/70/17 on 3" lift with limited flares?

Might have landed on a decent deal to move up from my current 265/70/17 duratracs to 285/70/17 baja mtz.

My only question would be, anyone with a limited flare setup with a 3" lift run some 285/70/17s?
If so, how much trimming and pounding in what locations needed to be done?

Obviously offsets on the rims will change some parts of it but generally was a lot of work required?

With the 265s i feel that i already rub in the rear with the 5125s and the fronts are close to the fenders.

i do offroad it and would like a "reliable" setup.
the 265s have been good to me and i dont see any reason to just stick with them. Only reason why i am thinking about 33s are the price and the want to run bigger tires haha.

I have that set up and have minimal rubbing at full lock. I just picked this up about 3 weeks ago and the tires are pretty worn. I do need to adjust the front coilovers to level it out. If that doesn't eliminate the rubbing I will throw on a 1" body lift or do some trimming and or hammering!

So YES you can fit those tires with 3" of lift. Just be prepared to make some adjustments.

i had a small amount of rubbing on the inside of the flare and then full turn on the cab but i just cut the fender a hair and can barley tell and just dont make a full lock turn and i can deal with out the rubbing
