285/75/16 on 3" lift stock rims

Hi guys I just bought everything I think I need to get my truck lifted and rolling. I bought OME 3" front and rear coils revtek diff drop and 285/75/16 bfg at tires. I want to put the tires on my stock 5 star wheels. Is this going to be a problem? Will the 285's rub? I guess these are questions I should have asked before I bought the tires. Would a 265 be better? Hope I can get some help with this... Thanks

agh i guess ill jump in.. just as a heads up there are sevvvverrral several topics and discussions.. and a sticky on this topic.

you may have some rubbing issues.. they will be present at the front upper control arms (which can be solved by putting on spacers (hub centric!)) or grinding it down a little bit.

another spot you may rub is at the fender flares on the inside when at full lock.

When wheeling (if you do) you will also definitely rub on the inner fender walls but thats no biggie.

285's will work no doubt just sometimes take a little tweaking, have one of the fronts put on and see how they align to the control arms and if you need spacers to get home. You can always use disc brake spacers temporarily

they will fit on the 16x7's they are just a little bulgy, but they fit.

I had the exact same setup. My tires rubbed the UCA at full droop and they would also rub the frame at full lock in reverse. Some people never had these issues though...it seems to be hit or miss sometimes.
