285's With Tundra 10 spokes?

Are wheel spacer necessary? I'm planning on getting some 285 Km2's or Nitto Trail Grapplers. If they are, do I go with hub or lug centric? Thanks

good deal, hopefully i can find the right price on some tires here shortly... pics will follow! i feel like i stole these 10 spokes! got the set for 100 bucks.
 
Got to see them. Nice rig. I have the same rims but still have the fender flares and running boards. I'm wondering how big I can go?
Love to stuff a 275/70/17 under there to get to an 11"x32".
I think the 285's would rub measuring just under 11.5"x33".
Currently running 265/70/17 measuring about 10.5"x31.5" (or so...)

Man I hate you! I've been eying those on CL for the last 2 weeks just didn't have the extra cash atm.

Are they in decent condition? The pic he had in the ad wasn't very good, I figured they were probably pretty beat up for that price.

theyre not mint by any means, but they arent too bad. some normal scratches for 9 year old rims. yea i haven't even looked at this site in awhile and started looking at it big time last week again, and saw all the pics of trucks with them and decided to look on cl for shats and giggles and saw those and knew i couldnt pass that up if they looked decent. i figure if they really look terrible i can always pull em off and sand em and paint them gunmetal.
 
Yeah I'll be down there for turkey day so I figured if they were still around then and I had the cash I would try and get up with the guy. Had the same thoughts as you for that cheap its hard to pass em up, sanding and repainting would totally be worth it for $25 a wheel. The biggest problem with those cost wise is rubber but with that kind of a deal its not that big of a difference between 16's and 17's. Plus you might be able to get some reimbursement for your old wheels and tires.

Can't wait to see em' on the truck!
 
yea i work at a tackle shop and have met a lot of people that offer me deals, and we sell trailer tires and hubs in the shop for one of the big tire distributors around and im getting 285 trail grapplers put on monday with everything including the metal valve stems and free rotations for life of the tires for 1200... beat everyone else by atleast 100 bucks. and one of the other kids i work with already said he'd buy my wheels and tires now so that helps alot.
 
I have the tundra 10 spoke rims too. I like them a lot. I paid close to $400-500 w/ shipping. I was able to sell my 4runner 5 stars here for the same price so that worked out. So yes $100 is a good deal! There's a set of the tundra 10 spokes on our local CL for $350.
 
Got em all cleaned up and ready for some new rubber monday.

ended up needing spacers and theyll be here tomorrow so ill put em all on sunday afternoon after a little duck hunting!

Sweet looking. I like it. I need to ditch the SR5 fender flares and get those smaller black ones. I like having running boards tho so not sure.
