295/70/17's trail grapplers on stock 2015 trail

hey guys.. so i was looking to see if the 2015 4runner trail would be able to fit 295's and all i found was the answer no. decided to try it myself since its about one inch taller only than stock and about one inch wider. i did do the body mount chop, and trimmed some of the fender.. looks so badass in my opinion i love it. question is, i ordered a spacer lift kit from ebay for $140 front and rear. 3" in the front, 2" in the rear. its my dd, and i do offroad quite often. will i be able to just plug and play or do i need anything additional? if i go the bilstein route, front and rear, what exactly will i have to do? By the way, i have 1.25 inch wheel spacers front and back. let me know what yall think! loving the new look

Looks nice but where did you read 295's won't fit with mods? Several run 305's here with mods.

If you off road that frequently, actually at all, I would advise against a spacer lift.

I off roaded my 03 4th gen with a Daystar spacer lift many years and many miles in the desert with zero issues. I would not hesitate to do it again.

Looks aggressive. I went the Bilstien route but good luck with spacers.

I just don't know if I'll have to add anything else after those spacers just because of it being a 3" in the front..

I would put a filler panel in there to add strength. Looks a little flimsy with it just cut. Granted I am sure you will be fine.

Finally getting mine done tomorrow. Show ya pictures when I get it back.

The primary reason for dong a lift is to fit larger tires. Assuming you have full articulation without rubbing, why lift it?

I run a spacer kit. It's nice. A little thought. I am probably going to get 5100 bilsteins to help with that. I don't off-road at all really anymore. But my old runner did and the spacer lift was fine for 70k miles.
