2wd lift questions

So not looking to go crazy with a lift (I have jeep jk with Tera flex for my off roaring) for my sons 2wd, 1996 I have a great deal on some 33 mounted on DC rims, any recommendation on lift to make some clearance?
 
In the same boat with the 2wd

I have an 02 2wd T4R SR5 all stock. I was looking to see what mods that could be done to help the performance. Is there a cheap way of adding more torque?
 
I have an 02 T4R 2wd and just ordered a complete 3" lift kit. Wanted to see if there was anything I should replace or service while I got the truck jacked up and everything all exposed. Thanks guys!
 
Since you're putting on a lift, I would asume you plan on taking it into the dirt so I would check and replace all the wear items. Upper and lower ball joints, Outer and inner tie rods, all the bushings, and wheel bearings pretty much in that order.

I have a 2000 4runner limited 2wd and have a similar question. I was wanting to lift it but i also want to make sure it's not too tall that it will flip. I also was wondering if I would be able to both body and suspension lift my 4runner. thanks.

What do you mean too tall it will flip? Need some specifics on what your thinking will cause it. These rigs flip over extremely easy at speeds above 30mph. (Just the nature of the narrow wheel base and suspension set up.) By lifting it up a few inches is not going to cause it to flip over like a prostitute on pay day. You put some tall tires, big lift, softer suspension, get it sideways at 35-40 and its going over!

Only the front?? I guess it would depend on what your current measurements are and what you wanted for looks. Do you just want bigger tires...body lift will do the same thing. Lifting enough for 33 clearance is not going to change the COG enough to matter.

I want to put 33s on it. The guy in the video said he was able to put 33s on his 4Runner after he lifted the front.

Bilstein sucks ass...they could give a flip about service. I wish I had bought anything....hell....even Monroe over Bilstein....f'rs.

I hate to tell you but this is the internet....reality v fantasy is rampant. I just followed a car in town....literally wobbling 2-3" side to side with a bent rim or something seriously F'd up. I promise you if you asked the guy "hey hows that thing drive"...his reply would be "perfect why??".... welcome to reality.

Do some searching and get THE TAPE MEASURE OUT!! I can not believe the number of people who operate on I think, Looks like, Maybe. WTF??? They make measuring devices for a reason. Once you know your measurements...then you will know if they fit without rubbing.
 
2wd and mine aint scared to offroad....one day ill convert it to 4wd
