3.0 exhaust size is 2.25, correct?

I'm going to a shop to have new exhaust installed and I was curious if the factory size was 2.25. I'm going with a Flowmaster 44 series

If I'm not mistaken the factory size is like 1.75? I could be totally wrong and thinking of something totally different tho haha...all my aftermarket exhaust systems were all 2.25 piping tho

My pipes measure 2.0 inches from top to bottom.

That's how they're measured right?

If I want to change to 2.5 inch pipes for a 2.5 inch muffler, would that interfere with the exhaust manifolds in any way?

They might just keep your 2" or whatever size pipe u have and flare it open..I think?

The flowmasters to me sound awful...lots of people like it tho. I prefer spin tech or borla
