3" Body Lift, what y'all think?

He wants to use the body lift to raise the body of the vehicle in hopes of not tubing or cutting his fenders. The stance he will have I believe he understands that it will stick out of the fenders and will have to address the Legal State codes he lives in, such as Oregon you can't have technically ANY rubber outside of the 'fenders'. Now my cousin is a sheriff and has told me their is a common practice so to say(aka not legal, but they won't necessarily pull you over(so do at your own risk)). That says no more than 2" past the 'stock fender' as long as your not a crazy vehicle. you can do mud flaps to AVOID the fenders completely, just another way you have to abide by. Now of course you can remove them when your on approved OHV roadways or trails.

I got a 2inch lift @ ~600... and I could have gone 3 inch for the same price...

don't do body lift, you'll hate it.


not the advice I can give you... don't go more than 2 inches, even that is pushing the limits.

What suspension lift would you recommend? I'm looking for a 2-3" lift.

I concur with fore mentioned post, it seems expensive- a few more dollars and you can do a suspension.

pieced it together myself

906 rear coils - $167
tundra 5100 all 4 corners - $100 each ($400)
front shocks are 3rd perch - free did it myself

I'm putting a 2" body lift on my 3 inch suspension, not going any higher because I'd have to do brake lines, fuel lines and a lot more it's not worth the money, I'm just doing it for looks I'll probably regret it later on but oh well it looks cool

any more on the suspension is more costly than a Body Lift
a Body lift will net 35-37's clearance with min tub (if ANY)...

others have gone down this road before and report that it works... and you already have the suspension lift...

IMO, you did it right.

Who ever said BL raises COG is partially right, but a SL raises it MORE than a body lift...

Hope so I think it'll be alright, I hate hearing my tires rub every time I turn anyways so that part will be nice
