Finally got around to taking pictures today. it is a 3" spacer in the front and springs from a 93 fj80 in the back. 285/75/16 bfg km2 tires. its a 99 limited 4x4. Rides good for now , however i need new shocks and will be replacing with ome coils when i get the shocks as well.

looks great them flares sure do cover the tires good also id really think a hood scoop and some 01-02 tails would really set it off

yeah i really want to get 02 tails, the chrome license plate surround off the 02, clear corners, and hid lights in the next month . mine with the dark grey paint has faded. I already put the 02 grill on. I would really love a hood scoop , buts its too much cost for really no benefit, i could think of lots of other goodies for the price lol. its a 99 limited

Is there any advantage to using a spacer instead of getting a taller spring? Or is it just more cost effective?

no not really an advantage except price . i only payed $70 for the spacers. the ride is near stock , i am happy with that , but i still have the stock shocks up front that were worn out to begin with , so i will probably be replacing with coils when i change the shocks. The spacers work good with a stock shock/coil combo as you do not need to get longer shocks , but this spacer set-up can cause excessive droop , shouldnt be a problem for me as i dont really offroad.

When you replace the shocks and springs will you just get stock replacement parts (meaning no extra lift than what you have now)? Nice tires, by the way. If I didn't live where it gets so iccy I'd be running those.

Man the MT`s are really loud. After mine are down im replacing with something not quite so loud. When going down the road all i hear is a load ROAR. Looks good tho.

BTW i know a place to mud that's about a mile from Clemson headed back towards Seneca on wells highway. If your interested i can give directions. Some pretty big holes and a couple of steep climbs. Not sure who owns the land but no ones ever said anything to me. No signs are up and its all rutted out (frequently used by 4x4`s).

haha thanks , i went there a couple years ago a few times in my fj80 mudding. I heard they dug a huge ditch at the access so you cant get in? whens the last time you have been? i assume you are talking about the place where you turn on wells hwy and go maybe 1-2 miles and its on the right. here is a couple pics when the fj had the stock 31's lol , got stuck up to the doors in mud at the back part on wells hwy.






then on 35's , but never offroaded it much then lol, had to sell due to 8-10mpg

Ya thats it. You can still access it from the back side. When you turn off 123 take the first road on your right. Take the first road on your left and its like a little apartment complex. Take the first (dead end) street on the right and go all the way back. You will see a big field with some nice mud holes in it. Follow the road thru the field and it leads to the area in your photo`s. I was at it maybe a month ago. I marked out with a red line what im talking about. I started at the first right off of wells highway after you turn off of 123.

Theres another place on your right coming down well`s hwy after you pass the 4way right before you get to Utica church. I haven't attempted the hills at that spot yet. Another place i love to go is Earls Ford road on the GA side off of warwoman road. (off of hwy 28) It has many little off roads, giant mud holes, a creek crossing and it leads you right beside the chattooga river at a nice rope swing. eace:
