3'' Toytec Ultimate & 1'' BL, TIRES??

Alright guys, hate to start another thread about tires, buuuut I am getting ready to put on my Toytec Ultimate 3'' suspension lift and I already have a 1'' BL installed. I just won a set of (4) Tundra 17'' rims on ebay for $300 soooo, my question for you all is, what size tires are you guys running with your lift and 17'' wheels!? I am pretty set on getting the Duratrac's because I live in MT and I need a solid A/T tire and I like the aggressive look of them, but I would be open to a M/T that has a good winter rating. Let me know what you have and post up some pics! Thanks guys!

Yup.

285/70-17 should fit no problem
285/75-17 will probably require some trimming (not too many tires available in this size)
315/70-17 (aka 35x12.50-17) will probably require a fair amount of trimming

With either the 285/75 or the 315, you'll probably want to look at ring and pinion gears as well.

How much trimming are we talking about with the 315's? Just plastic or some metal too? Gears are definitely a mod I am looking into as well as the 231mm tundra brakes

This article also covers some more drastic "trimming" techniques. This is for a runner with no body lift. With a 1" BL, you would likely skip the rear quarter panel chop and you might be able to make the firewall work via BFH instead of cutting and welding.

I had to do plastic trimming up front and front spacers to fit 33.4" tires, rear rubs stock bumper but its not bad enough to cut, only when flexing. Any larger tires expect extensive cutting/hammering.
