I put a lock washer on the bolt before i pulled it through, which helped a bunch. Depending on the length of the bolt, you can also hold the end of it with a pair of vise grips.
Just cut my existing brackets, from my original build, and have drilled all my holes and test fit. The paint is drying now, so i hope to have mine mounted up this afternoon......:yo:

The lock washers are a good idea! I did have trouble getting one bolt started and used a pair of pliers to hold it while I finished tightening things up (threads got damaged on this bolt, the others were all fine). Let me know how it turns out as well as your opinion on how much light output is lost.

Yep, same here. If nothing else, I've considered cutting the mounts for the front license plate. Each one blocks a couple LED's, but not sure it's worth it. I'm pretty sure the grille on the 06+ is a separate piece, but the grille on the 03-05 is built into the bumper.

Sorry, you must have edited that after I read your post. It doesn't look to me like there would be enough room in there for a 30" bar. You could follow the same procedure and mount some smaller lights. I mounted 4 2x6 lights on my dad's 87 4runner and they are very bright. I know Hanma offers some smaller lights that still pack a punch, you may want to look into them if you plan on the hidden winch.
Alright, I've been messing around with this for the last hour. Not able to get the bolts through I still have a bolt in the bar.
I've taped a 5/16 bolt to a piece of wire using electrical tape. I attempt to pull it through the hole on the bumper without success. Does the hole need to be substantially bigger than the bolt? Any recommendations on taping the bolt to the wire?
EDIT: I got it! The instructions are perfect as is. I'll get the "L" brackets on tomorrow along with drilling the holes in the angle iron. Thanks again!

Good deal, glad you got it! I used smaller bolts which made it a little easier. Doing mine took a long time, but did another members and it went much quicker the second time. Let us know how it turns out!

I was having an issue with the adjustment of the light because it was hitting the angle iron. I ended up taking it out and flipping the the angle iron around, then mounting the light to the backside of it. I also drilled new holes in the 90° brackets to compensate for the angle iron being turned around. Worked like a charm!

Are you aiming it more down, now that you can make adjustments? Mine seems to hit the ground quite well. I'll post some pics later this week. Just wanted to ask what you were going for.

Yeah, mine was hitting the ground much more than i wanted, but because the light was hitting the angle iron, it wouldn't let me adjust it up. After realizing this i think that is why ARK has his L mounting brackets bent a little more than 90°. I just flipped my angle iron piece around and mounted the light to the back side of it. This allowed me to set the light angle more parallel with the ground so that the light isn't hitting the ground in front of the truck so much. When i did flip that around i drilled new holes in the mounting brackets a little further back, towards the radiator, to compensate for that being flipped. Will try to get some pics today.
