I've been running 305's for years. Suspension, Body lift and pounded pinch welds make it happen. I've ran 285's but I prefer 305's at this point.
I have nothing bad to say about running 305's, but, 5 speed manuals have a easier time managing the 305's than automatics. I always supercharge my rigs so that helps immensely with 305's.
This is the third 3rd gen I've ran 305's on with no issues. Yes, I'll be posting a build thread sometime in the near future.
