33" tires on 91 4runner

Hi all. New to this forum but will probably have lots of questions. I just bought a 91 4runner and am thinking of putting some 33x12.5 r15 tires on. It is completely stock right now but will be lifted soon. I'm wondering if this tire will fit without rubbing before the lift happens as that is a future plan. Thanks to all who respond.

next time look in the stickys at the top of the forum board and you'll find helpful info that will answer lots of question especially like this one.

NO 33s will not fit without a lift.
here is the run down on tire sizes that fit
stock ride height the biggest you can go is 31x10.50
2.5 inch lift will let you clear 33x9.50 without rubbing
4 inch lift will clear 35x12.50
if you go bigger then 32 inch it is recommended to re gear the axles to keep up gas mileage and power.

Ill disagree with that BV, with just a simple trim of the pinchweld, 33sx12.5s will fit stock without touching the torsion bars.

I see... well its barley a trim... if youre afraid of the grinder, you can just hammer it over flat.

I would say do the lift first.. Then bigger tires. No matter what size tires you get now, you will want bigger after your lift.
