3D Printed Cup-holder Insert

TiN any updates?

I actually just test fitted the first prototype of a different version that will sit flush with the top of the cup holder indention. Still have some adjustments to make, but I'll post a render in a little while.

The problem I have is that the OEM cup holders don't work with anything I use. Water bottles, coffee mugs, and protein shaker bottles - none are quite right and fall over whenever I turn a corner at speed. The adjustment arm does quite literally nothing to prevent this.

Is your design going to fix that? Because if so, I'll take one!

looking good but how about the part where the cup goes, add in a graduated step part to better hold cups of different sizes? Kinda like in this picture.

Not sure what design would work better but in my Honda this setup works good.

Yeah, that may be a useful feature to add. At least a couple steps to help hold awkwardly small things like water plastic bottles.

TiN looks great so far, how about one with a cupholder and holster for my side arm? haha.

If you do end up selling these in any form, sign me up. :thumb3:

Haha that ain't a bad idea. I'll keep it in mind going forward :thumb3:

Why not step it way up and make something like this pic of one available for 3rd gens?

Yeah, first things first but something to think about...

Cup Holders for the Toyota 4Runner

That's definitely a nice model he's got going there. Looks like he's found a way to give them a decent OEM looking finish too. Probably won't jump on a project like that immediately, but will keep it in mind down the road. Although, I may be able to adopt a few of the features on his and work them into my model in order to make it more useful. Good find!

I like your invention and am definitely interested. Another idea is some type of recessed cupholder with different levels starting from the bottom for different size of cans/bottles. Also, maybe a couple of rubber tabs or something on the inside of the holder to stabilize the cans or bottles. Good job and excellent idea!!!
